Finding the Blue Book value of your new and used firearms, including pistols, rifles, shotguns, airguns, and blackpowder guns is easy with the number one source of gun pricing. This site provides values and information on firearms in a convenient online pricing guide format, and allows you to find out what your used guns are worth. Short answer: If you go to this site it will allow you to find the exact year your gun was produced based on model number. Longer answer with more context: Model number designation tells you nothing about the year of manufacture of a specific rifl. The most collectable Model 70s and 94s are the 'pre-64' guns, manufactured before a significant production change in 1964. For those Model 70 and 94 owners interested in when their specific rifle was made, the tables below show serial number range by year made. In 1919 Winchester abandoned numbering models by the year of introduction and assigned two-digit numbers, sequential beginning with 51 for rifles. Older guns still in production had their model numbers truncated, e.g. The Model 1912 shotgun became the Model 12. Serial number 1,500,000 was presented to president harry s. 539 548 56296 serial number 2,000,000 was presented to president dwigiit eisenhower in 1953. Serial numbers 2,500,000 and 3,000,000 were presented to too winchester gun museum, now located m cody, wyoming.

Book Values
After you have found your model and condition, you can use the following chart to find the approximate value of your gun. The value is RETAIL, so if you are selling to a dealer, the value will be less. Think in terms of ranges instead of absolutes. And remember that this is a book value. Without a buyer that is willing to pay you a certain amount for your gun, this is a 'theoretical value. ' Marketing can sometimes increase the value of your gun. Geographical areas also can influence the value as well as the time you are willing to wait for a sale.
